This weekend was a lot of fun! We were able to spend time with lots of friends, family, and God.
Friday: After work/school we both came home and decided to go to the Young Adult Game Night at our church. The young adult group that we used to be a part of decided to host a game night so everyone could come and play volleyball, basketball, board games, card games, and much more. We were able to see lots of friends that we haven't been able to hang out with much lately. It was good to catch up with everyone and play some games in the meantime.
Saturday: A friend of mine (from college and Campus Crusade for Christ), Matt, and his wife, Paula, invited us over for Gluten-Free pizza for lunch. We gladly agreed. I found out recently that Matt also has Celiac. It's nice to know someone else to has the same food issues as myself. I think it is also nice for Nikki to know another person in the same situation as her (being married to someone with Celiac). It's great that they live so close to us. Hopefully we can see them more. Anyways, we ate, talked, and played their Wii. Nikki did very well on Mario Kart.
After Matts, we came home, packed up our stuff and headed off to Gahanna. Nikki had to sing at church all weekend, so we decided to stay at her parents house. We went to church with Nikki's mother Saturday night. Nikki did a great job singing (I love to hear her sing). After church we went back to Nikki's parents house. Terri made chicken, baked potatoes, and broccoli for dinner. It was very good. I enjoyed it because it is 'normal' food that is gluten-free, so I can still eat it. After dinner we watched the Blue Jackets game and Nikki cut my hair again.
Sunday: Nikki sang at church again and then helped her mother with the Blood Drive. After that was done, we went to Tim and Kyle's house for another young adult hang out. Today they were getting together for lunch, Wii, and other games. It was fun to see everyone again and have another fun day with friends.
Thanks for reading. Keep us in your prayers. We'll do the same for you!
